God will never leave me, Then why am I alone?
I walk the path that I can see, Where from it did God go?
If he can see and I am blind, How then can god be true?
If I cry out and hear no sound, Then really who left who?

How do you know you are alone? Can you not envision a God who has already spoken the big things you need to know, and can quietly remind you of these truths for day to day living? Does the fact that God does not reveal Himself in the way you want Him to mean that He does not love? Is love not defined by God Himself, according to the Bible? Must all of your questions be answered for you to be satisfied? Wow, I think I may have just 'ranted'.
It was a lovely rant, at that. The poem, as it is, is not a complete treatise. In my earlier comments I recognized my lack of knowledge. However, I can only respond or make judgments according to the knowledge I have. It is very likely that God is beyond me - somewhere hovering and watching. But, if I can't enter into that experience or knowledge, then for all practical reasons he is not there for me. What value is love that is not felt? Besides, who said I was looking for god to respond to my whims, to reveal himself the way I want? That runs counter to my life. My prayer, my cry, has always been whatever, however. I would love a quiet reminder. That would be great. Not all of my questions need to be answered to be satisfied - I don't really need to know if god can create a rock he cannot lift - but core questions, are you there? are you good? yeah, I kinda do want them answered. I don't know that I am alone, I just feel alone. My experience and study tells me I am alone. I wish I was not, but I will not shy away from things because I wish it were other. By the way, thanks for commenting. I appreciate open dialogue and highly value it. It helps me think, to clarify, and if I am wrong and am convinced so, I will not hesitate to admit such. I'm sure there are a good many things I am wrong about.
